ABBYY FineReader Engine 8.0 for Mac is an SDK for integrating optical character recognition (OCR), barcode recognition and PDF conversion technologies into applications running on the Mac OS® X platform. The SDK delivers a wide range of document recognition functions to integrate into a variety of applications including word processors, scanning, archiving, search, document and information management and more. It provides native support for both Intel® and PowerPC-based Mac computers and allows creating universal binary applications.
